ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Meet this episode’s guests

EPISODE DESCRIPTION
Anshul Rathi joined Oscar Health as one of its earliest employees and inherited a single spreadsheet. He built the first system himself, until fifteen spreadsheets talking to each other finally broke. The in-house fix came back as a five-year roadmap and a $50 million price tag. Every vendor he found was a point solution fixing a single symptom. Six years later, Oscar had grown from two states to twenty, with more than 40,000 providers credentialed. Along the way Anshul concluded the industry had misdiagnosed itself. Provider data isn't a data problem. It's a trust problem wearing a data costume. In this episode, Nick and Mitch break their own rule and talk about CertifyOS: how it started, why screenshots became the industry's proof of trust, and why Anshul thinks a company like his shouldn't need to exist in the end state.
Key takeaways
“Everyone interprets the regulation in their own way and everyone says, trust me, but everyone wants screenshots.”
— Anshul Rathi, CertifyOS
